Little Red Riding Hood

Once upon a time there lived in a certain village a little country girl, the prettiest creature who was ever seen. Her mother was excessively fond of her; and her grandmother doted on her still more. This good woman had a little red riding hood made for her. It suited the girl so extremely well that everybody called her Little Red Riding Hood

My Little Red Riding Hood inspired cape was made using hook size 10 and Robin Super Chunky – lovely soft yarn in deep red colour, a pleasure to work with. I decided to make it in half treble crochet as this stitch gives great dense texture.

I didn’t follow any pattern, this is my original make, which I am particularly proud of 🙂

And my little girl sure looks cute wearing her Little Red Riding Hood.

When it comes to yarns, anything I can put my hands on will finally make a way to my hooks and needles. I like to experiment a lot and notoriously run four or five projects at the same time - but that's part of the fun!
